Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- Organizations in different countries released a joint statement and statements on April 14 and 15 condemning the UNSC's "presidential statement." The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea in the joint statement accused the UNSC of taking issue with the DPRK's satellite launch for peaceful purposes and branded the action as interference in the internal affairs of the DPRK and a wanton violation of international law. The statement stated that the "presidential statement," a product of plot bred by the U.S. imperialists, the south Korean puppet clique and the Japanese reactionary forces, evidently showed that the UNSC is no more than a tool serving the U.S. imperialists. The Switzerland-Korea Committee in a statement referred to the fact that throughout history the UNSC has never called satellite launches into question and no country had been condemned for launching them, extending support to the principled stand of the DPRK. The Syrian Trade Unions Federation in a statement said that the DPRK's satellite launch for peaceful purposes is the legitimate right pertaining to the sovereignty of the DPRK, asserting that this is neither infringement upon the rights of other countries nor challenge and violation of UN resolutions and the international community. Meanwhile, Thomas Losh, chief of the Group of Youth for the Study of Kim Jong Il Juche Idea in Vienna, issued a statement on April 15 rejecting the UNSC's "presidential statement." |
