People's delegations which consist of persons of all strata visit KPA units to congratulate soldiers on their red-letter day.

The revolutionary armed forces of Korea which were founded on April 25, Juche 21 (1932) by President Kim Il Sung with just more than 100 guerrillas fought two revolutionary wars to win back the country from the Japanese imperialists and beat back the U.S. imperialists' armed invasion against the young DPRK in the 20th century.

According to the existing common sense and conception, the above-said revolutionary armed forces were incomparable with their enemies numerically and technically.

The young Korean People's Revolutionary Army had to fight against the one million strong-Kwantung Army equipped with artillery pieces, tanks and warplanes.

The anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters waged a bloody guerrilla warfare, securing food, military uniforms and weapons by themselves without any logistic base in the rear. But they crushed the Japanese imperialists, which styled themselves "leader" of Asia, and liberated the country at last.

The KPA, which developed into a regular army three years after the liberation of the country, had to fight in the 1950s against the U.S. imperialists who had boasted of "their victories" in more than a hundred aggressive and predatory wars.

When starting the Korean war, The U.S. imperialists calculated that they would win the war with ease, even fixing the date of their "victory." However, the KPA wiped out the over two million strong-enemy troops in the war as the Korean proverb says that a wolf should be punished with a stick.

During the war the KPA soldiers killed, injured or captured 1,567,128 enemy personnel, downed, damaged or captured 12,224 warplanes, destroyed or captured 3,255 tanks and armored vehicles, sank or damaged 564 warships and vessels and destroyed or captured 7,695 artillery pieces of various types.

The revolutionary armed forces of Korea could win those victories in the wars against the aggressor forces of two imperialisms entirely because they were under the supreme commandership of President Kim Il Sung. Today the Korean People's Army having Kim Jong Il as its Supreme Commander is capable of crushing any formidable imperialist armed forces at a stroke.
