Pyongyang, April 26 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Federation of University Students in the 21st Century held a press conference in Seoul on April 22 at which it branded the puppet security authorities' suppression of students as a human rights abuse.
At the press conference the organization accused the security authorities of mobilizing police on April 10 to commit such tyrannical acts as walking away to a police station 49 students affiliated to the federation when they were having their hair cut close after holding a press conference in demand of the settlement of the issue of registration fee and the issue of young unemployed on charge of violation of the "law on assembly and demonstration".
The organization queried how can the students' expression of their will to have measures for education taken be a violation of the above-said law.
It urged the "human rights committee" to demand the authorities stop their unreasonable suppression of the progressive forces.
