Acknowledging the enthusiastic cheers of the servicepersons of the unit, he warmly congratulated them on the 77th birthday of the KPA.

He looked back with deep emotion on the glorious path covered by the unit, noting that the servicepersons of the unit are demonstrating its might still today in the sacred struggle to defend the country, carrying forward its shining tradition.

Noting that the colors of the unit which shine with victories and glory are associated with the noble soul of the revolutionary forerunners who dedicated their youth and lives to the party and leader, the country and people, he highly estimated the heroic feats performed by them, leaving distinguished traces in the history of the great Fatherland Liberation War.

After acquainting himself with the unit's performance of duty and training, he learned in detail about the service and living of the servicepersons.

Expressing great satisfaction over the fact that all the servicepersons of the unit have grown to be a-match-for-a-hundred fighters with strong combat capability and a high level of combat technique through the intensified training and have carried out their guard duties in a responsible manner, following the moves of the enemies for aggression with a high degree of vigilance, he advanced important tasks which would serve as guidelines for bolstering the KPA into invincible revolutionary forces.

He had a photo session with the servicepersons of the unit.

He was accompanied by Vice Marshal of the KPA Kim Yong Chun , minister of the People's Armed Forces, General of the KPA Kim Jong Gak, first vice-director of the General Political Bureau of the KPA, KPA Generals Kim Myong Guk, Kim Won Hong, Hyon Chol Hae and Ri Myong Su and other commanding officers.

Also accompanying him were Kim Ki Nam, secretary of the C.C., the WPK, Jang Song Thaek, department director of the C.C., the WPK, Ju Kyu Chang, Ri Je Gang and Ri Jae Il, first vice-department directors of the C.C., the WPK.
