Pyongyang, April 27 (KCNA) -- Co-representatives of the Women Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementation of the June 15 Joint Declaration on April 21 made public a statement titled "We warn Ministry of Unification for the action taken to disallow meeting of women representatives in south and north".
The statement accused the ministry of taking an action to disallow representatives of women organizations to visit the north to attend the meeting of women representatives in the south and the north under the pretext of "taking the present inter-Korean relations and their personal safety into consideration."
The authorities revealed once again their will to stand in the way of reunification by blocking even non-governmental organizations' exchange for reunification, the statement charged, and continued:
The inter-Korean relations have reached the worst phase because the Lee Myung Bak "government" has pursued the policy of confrontation with the DPRK and insisted on its full participation in the PSI, etc.
Activities of non-governmental organizations for exchange for reunification will be suppressed in the future, too, unless the authorities drop their policy of confrontation, it noted, adding that the said organization would conduct a positive struggle to achieve the reunification of Korea and ensure its peace in solidarity with the women in the north and overseas.
