Pyongyang, April 27 (KCNA) -- The Institute of Forests of Economic Value under the Branch Academy of Forestry is now engaged in energetic researches for the creation of forests of highly productive evodia daniellii benn.
By deepening researches to adopt high yielding species, the scientists of the institute have completed new technology including methods of fast treatment of seeds and opened a prospect for raising the yield more than 50 percent.
They have also completed a new method of branch grafting to improve the existing evodia daniellii benn into a high-yielding variety.
Scientists are going out to local areas to prepare for introducing high-yielding grafted branches in hundreds of hectares of woodland.
