Pyongyang, April 29 (KCNA) -- The Action Headquarters of the 17th-term south Korean Federation of University Student Councils made public a statement on April 24 denouncing the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors for its anti-reunification action.
The statement accused the judicial authorities of sentencing leading members of the Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration to prison terms on April 21 after labeling the solidarity as an "enemy-benefiting organization." It termed the unreasonable sentence a total negation and challenge to the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.
The solidarity has taken the lead in the struggle for independence, democracy and reunification since its formation, the statement said, asserting all the facts clearly prove that nothing can be expected from the Lee "government" as it is keen on confrontation with the DPRK and fascist dictatorship.
The Lee "government" is, indeed, a group of sycophants and traitors standing in the way of democratization of the south Korean society and national reunification while escalating tension on the Korean Peninsula, it declared.
It demanded that the authorities immediately lift the above-said label attached to the solidarity and release the detainees.
