The only way for overcoming the difficulties facing the Korean nation and victoriously advancing the cause of independent reunification is to achieve the great unity of the whole nation under the banner of national reunification and frustrate the anti-reunification moves of the separatist forces at home and abroad, the article says, and goes on:

All Koreans should thoroughly reject flunkeyism and dependence on outsiders and pool their mind, will and efforts on the basis of the idea of "By our nation itself" to achieve the great national unity.

All the fellow countrymen in the north and the south and abroad should get united close under the banner of patriotism and national reunification, irrespective of the interests of classes and circles and transcending differences in ideology, system, political view and religious belief.

For the great national unity to be achieved it is important to wage a vigorous struggle against the domination and interference of foreign forces and the south Korean anti-reunification conservatives in collusion with outsiders.

All the political parties, organizations and compatriots from all walks of life in the north and the south and abroad should support and keep step with each other in the struggle for national reunification and stage vigorous joint actions, thus demonstrating the strength of the united nation and brining a turning phase in realizing the cause of independent reunification.

The cause of national reunification, the cause of great national unity, will be surely realized as there are the most just idea, line and policy of great national unity advanced by President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il, the all-embracing politics based on patriotism of the Workers' Party of Korea whereby to rally all Koreans into one united front for reunification and the entire nation's steadfast patriotic will for reunification.
