Pyongyang, May 2 (KCNA) -- Bangladeshi political figures denounced a "presidential statement" of the UNSC critical of the DPRK's satellite launch. Garib Newaz, president of the Bangladesh People's League, asserted in a statement released on April 23 that the DPRK has a legal right and qualification to launch anytime a satellite for such peaceful purposes as study and use of space. Noting that the UNSC which has been reduced to a puppet of the U.S. imperialists does not hesitate to perpetrate dastardly acts, he added that the adoption of its "presidential statement" is aimed at forcing the DPRK to bring to its knees. He stressed that the DPRK was entirely just when it decided not to take part in the six-party talks which seriously infringed upon its sovereignty. Hasanul Huq Inu, chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Bangladesh National Socialist Party, in a statement issued on April 24, bitterly denounced the UNSC for releasing the brigandish "presidential statement" critical of the DPRK's satellite launch for peaceful purposes which was legitimately conducted after going through international legal procedures. By issuing the above-said statement the UNSC once again revealed that it is nothing but a mere tool of meekly accepting the U.S. brigandish demand and meeting it, he held. Rashed Khan Menon, chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh, in a statement released on the same day said the DPRK's satellite launch is a sovereign right, declaring that it would extend support and solidarity to the Korean people in their just struggle in the future, too. |
