Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- The New Communist Party of Britain and the Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist) released a joint statement titled "The satellite launch is a sovereign right of the DPRK" on April 21. The statement recalled that the U.S. and its followers including Japan, Britain and south Korea are kicking up a hysteric campaign against the DPRK though the satellite launch is a sovereign right of the DPRK to achieve peaceful development and the UNSC issued a "presidential statement" critical of the satellite launch, yielding to their pressure. It strongly rejected the above-said statement and expressed full support to the stand of the DPRK that it would not take part in the six-party talks anymore but re-operate its nuclear facilities. Noting that it is an important requirement for protecting peace and stability not only on the Korean Peninsula but in the rest of the world to defend the DPRK, the statement called on all workers and progressive people of the world to turn out in the struggle to defend the DPRK. Meanwhile, the British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain also released a statement on April 9 hailing the successful launch of the satellite Kwangmyongsong-2. |
