Evacuees Killed in Ryongsan Remembered
Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- A meeting was held in Seoul on April 29 to remember the evacuees who were brutally killed due to the Lee Myung Bak fascist clique's bestial suppression.

Attending it were Catholics, Christians, Buddhists and believers of four orders of Round Buddhism, members of political parties and civic and social organizations and bereaved families of the victims.

Speakers at the meeting said that 100 days have passed since the tragedy in Ryongsan, but the Lee "government" has not punished any man-killers, far from probing the truth about it in this period.

A scrutiny into the dead bodies of those killed showed that their wrists, ankles and teeth were left broken and there were fractures in their skulls, they noted, adding that this proved that the evacuees met tragic deaths due to the brutal violence by police and gangsters of the evacuation team.

They urged Lee Myung Bak to make a proper apology to the bereaved families of the victims and the people and probe the truth about the case at once.

An appeal released at the meeting noted that the people from all walks of life in south Korea had a strong will to carry on their struggle till the truth behind the Ryongsan incident has been probed and the prime mover of the killing punished.

Those who desire a new democratic world where human rights are guaranteed and everyone enjoys equal freedom free from any discrimination should turn out and fight in firm solidarity to build it, the appeal stressed.
