Speakers at the seminar noted that the immortal revolutionary exploits of Kim Il Sung are brightly shining in the homeland and his lifelong desire has been translated into a reality thanks to the energetic and distinguished Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il.

The reelection of Kim Jong Il as chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission at the first session of the 12th Supreme People's Assembly is an expression of the absolute trust in him by all the people in the homeland and immense joy of the overseas compatriots, they said, and went on:

The first session of the 12th SPA marked an occasion of a great turn and a historic event in the efforts to develop the DPRK government into a powerful political weapon for upholding the Songun politics of Kim Jong Il.

Noting that the successful launch of the satellite Kwangmyongsong-2 was another auspicious event of the nation recorded in the history of the motherland, they declared that it helped the DPRK reinforce its status as a satellite-launcher and satellite-possessor in the world.

Assailing the hostile forces including the U.S. for committing illegal provocative act of infringing upon the sovereignty of the DPRK by abusing the UN Security Council, they voiced full support for the legitimate stand and just counteraction of the DPRK against it.
