Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Democratic Lawyers Association of Korea in its statement issued on Sunday vehemently condemned together with all Koreans the Lee Myung Bak group for perpetrating fascist actions against democracy and reunification in a bid to stamp out the reunification movement in south Korea by indiscriminately invoking the "National Security Law," a product of the fascist dictatorship, in gross violation of the north-south declarations. Traitor Lee's harsh suppression of the Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration in south Korea by labeling its patriotic activities as "illegal ones" is an undisguised denial of the north-south declarations and the idea of "By our nation itself" and cannot be construed otherwise than a despicable behavior of anti-reunification maniacs that brought to light once again the true colors of those keen on permanent national split and confrontation, the statement said, and continued: The reality of south Korea clearly proves that there can be no freedom of activities for social progress and national reunification in south Korea, to say nothing of elementary human rights, as long as traitor Lee stays in power and the NSL which labels fellow countrymen in the north as "an enemy" remains in force. It is none other than the Lee group of traitors who should be brought to the court of history to face a stern judgment of the nation. The Lee group should immediately repeal the NSL which stirs up confrontation with compatriots, lift the label of "enemy benefiting organization" attached to the reunification movement organizations and acquit the unreasonably detained patriotic personages at once. The group of traitors will face a stern punishment by all Koreans desirous of reunification should it continue cracking down upon the forces supporting the June 15 declaration, defying the unanimous protest and denunciation of the public at home and abroad. |
