The solidarity has taken the lead in implementing the inter-Korean joint declarations even under the difficult situation, prompted by the single desire to bring earlier national reunification, the cherished desire of the nation, and it has, therefore, enjoyed unreserved support and praises from the compatriots.

Noting that the above-said action taken against the organization is a reckless one which can be committed only by such ferocious gang of anti-reunification elements as the Lee group working hard to quell the desire of the compatriots for reunification, persistently blocking the implementation of the north-south declarations, the wishes of all Koreans, the statement went on:

The above-mentioned sentence revealed the sinister intention of the Lee group as it was not an issue confined to the solidarity but a prelude to an unprecedented repressive campaign to be kicked off under the pretext of "public security" to crack down upon all the forces supporting the June 15 joint declaration and arrest the just and patriotic struggle of the south Korean people for independence, democracy and reunification.

If the Lee group of traitors persists in the suppression of the forces supporting the June 15 joint declaration despite the unanimous protest and denunciation by all compatriots, it will not be able to escape a thousand-fold severer punishment by the whole nation.

The group should lift at once the label of "enemy-benefiting organization" attached to the reunification movement organizations and immediately release the patriotic personages who were unjustly punished.
