Pyongyang, May 6 (KCNA) -- Organizations of Nigeria, UK and Switzerland issued statements in denunciation of the "presidential statement" adopted by the UNSC over the DPRK's successful satellite launch. The Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea in its statement on April 20 noted that the UNSC had never called any satellite launch of other countries to account in the history. The DPRK has the right to launch satellite for peaceful purposes like other countries do, it added. The DPRK's war deterrent for self-defence should be steadily bolstered, the statement said, declaring that the Juche idea followers in Nigeria fully support the self-defensive steps taken by the DPRK. The British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain in its statement on April 21 branded the "presidential statement" of the UNSC as an unpardonable violation of the DPRK's sovereignty. The branch fully supports the just decision made by the DPRK never to participate in the six-party talks but restore to their original state the nuclear facilities and bring their operation back on a normal track, the statement stressed. The Switzerland-Korea Committee in its statement on April 25 said that to bolster up the war deterrent on the part of the DPRK is a just and legitimate, self-defensive measure to cope with the hostile forces' intensified threat and scheme for aggression. The imperialist allied forces' moves against the DPRK can be smashed only by the military deterrence, the statement said, adding that the DPRK's bolstering of war deterrent is just. |
