The statement said that the carrier rocket and satellite developed by the DPRK with its own wisdom and technology 100 per cent demonstrated once again the might of Songun Korea to the world as a shining achievement made in the drive to put the DPRK's space science and technology on a higher stage.

The compatriots residing abroad confidently see in the successful launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong-2 the rosy future of independent reunification, peace and prosperity, it said.
