Rodong Sinmun Wednesday observes in a signed commentary carried in this regard:

This is not aimed to promote genuine cooperation and exchange between media organizations in the north and the south but a revelation of the sinister design of the Lee Myung Bak "government" to cover up its anti-reunification and confrontational moves, put under control the progressive media organs' cooperation and exchange with the north and hamstring their efforts for them.

The south Korean authorities' anti-reunification and confrontational policy and stand of denying the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and refusing to implement them remain unchanged. Those who suppress progressive media persons standing for improved north-south relations and reunification and indiscriminately block their activities have the effrontery to call for the "promotion of broadcasting exchange between the south and the north" and "promotion of cooperation". This is nothing but sheer hypocrisy.

The "Broadcasting and Communication Committee" was formed by traitor Lee for the purpose of rendering the media conservative and reptile in a bid to enforce fascist dictatorship and step up the traitorous policy for confrontation with fellow countrymen.

The Lee group is putting forward the committee in a bid to create impression that it is interested in broadcasting exchange between the south and the north. Meanwhile, it is seeking to put the cooperation and exchange to be conducted by the progressive media institutions of south Korea with the north under the direct control of the authorities and craftily abuse them for inciting anti-reunification acts and confrontation. This is, in the final analysis, nothing but a criminal move to scuttle pro-reunification and patriotic cooperation and exchange between media organizations in the north and the south under the signboard of "promotion of broadcasting exchange" and escalate confrontation with fellow countrymen and the racket for putting media under its control.

The Lee group had better stop busing itself with such foolish and deceptive farce which will get it nowhere and lift a check bar dropped on the pro-reunification movement organizations of the north and the south.
