Pyongyang, May 7 (KCNA) -- Harish Gupta, secretary general of the Asian Regional Institute of the Juche Idea who visited the DPRK, said that through the successful launch of the satellite Kwangmyongsong-2 the DPRK fully demonstrated the might of its independent national economy and showed its strong will to reliably protect the sovereignty of the country and the nation.
He accused the United States and its followers of asserting that the DPRK's satellite launch for peaceful purposes was a "missile launch" and forcing the UNSC to issue its "presidential statement" with no binding force critical of the satellite launch.
But, the progressive people of the world are rejoiced as over their own over the success made by the Korean people and positively and highly praise it, he noted, and went on:
The adherents to the Juche idea fully support the firm stand of the DPRK that it would not participate in the six-party talks any more now that the talks have been reduced to a platform for infringing upon the sovereignty of the country and disarming it and its policy for using outer space for peaceful purposes.
Thanks to General Secretary Kim Jong Il who has successfully carried forward the idea and leadership of President Kim Il Sung, the Korean people will surely open the gate to a great prosperous and powerful nation in the near future, he stressed.
