Chairman Omar Lopez and the secretary general of the Venezuelan National Society for the Study of the Juche Idea, Chairman of the Venezuela-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Association Antonio Ribero and other speakers praised the immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung who accomplished the cause of building the party, the army and the state and defeated the two imperialisms in one generation, explaining in depth the validity and vitality of the Juche idea.

They expressed support and solidarity with the DPRK's decision to bolster up the nuclear deterrent after its successful launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong-2.

Announced at the seminar was a declaration on the principles to be adhered to by the Venezuelan organizations for the study of the Juche idea and friendship and solidarity with the Korean people.

The declaration stressed the need to widely introduce the achievements and experience of the DPRK, which has firmly defended the sovereignty of the country and the nation by steadily maintaining its principled stand in the international arena to strike the world progressives with wonder, and activate the study and dissemination of the Juche idea.

It also called for promoting the development of Venezuela-DPRK relations and expanding exchange in various fields between the two countries.

A message to General Secretary Kim Jong Il was adopted at the seminar.
