Pyongyang, May 8 (KCNA) -- The Korean people consider Japan as a militarist viper and the most ferocious and shameless aggressor and plunderer and their sworn enemy. This is not their temporary feeling but their deep-rooted view on Japan. Rodong Sinmun Friday observes this in a signed article. This represents the Korean people's firm determination and will to force Japan to pay for the blood shed by them under any circumstances, the article notes, and goes on: The DPRK-Japan hostile relations remain unsettled although much water has flown under the bridge. This is due to Japan's hostile policy toward the DPRK. The article cites facts to prove that Japan has worked with bloodshot eyes to hurt the DPRK even in the new century as it did in the past. The article goes on: The Japanese reactionaries' hostile policy toward the DPRK is little different from what the Japanese imperialists committed against Korea after invading it in the past. They have become more crafty and persistent in their methods. The general goal of Japan's reactionary foreign policy is to isolate and stifle the DPRK and Japan is channeling everything into this objective. The Japanese reactionaries, seized by hysteria for overseas aggression, are directing their militarist spearhead to the DPRK, considering that there is international environment favorable for conducting military operations independently at present. If the Japanese militarists are allowed to go reckless, buoyed by the wild ambition to stage a comeback to Korea, they will opt to seriously violate the sovereignty of the DPRK and dignity of the nation. Japan still remains the sworn enemy of the Korean people. No change should be expected from the Japanese militarists. Only just strong countermeasure should be taken against them. The army and people of the DPRK will bolster the defence capability of the country by giving full play to the might of Songun with towering resentment against Japan and the firm pledge to take revenge upon it. Should the Japanese reactionaries dare make a military provocation against them, they will mete out a merciless punishment to them. |
