Pyongyang, May 9 (KCNA) -- The Lee Myung Bak group is now busy kicking up an anti-DPRK campaign, terming the socialist system in the DPRK a "system abusing human rights." This came under fire by a statement issued on May 9 by a spokesman for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea. Some days ago, the group of traitors sent at least 30 defectors from the north to a function of "observing the week of freedom in the north" held in front of the Capitol in Washington under the sponsorship of right-wing conservative organizations of the United States and south Korea to stage a noisy anti-DPRK human rights campaign. The so-called south Korean "ambassador in charge of human rights issue in the north" was also sent there for the first time in the history of the campaign. This "ambassador," when interviewed by the U.S. "Voice of Free Asia," made no scruple of letting loose a spate of provocative outbursts that "it is necessary to build settlements for defectors from the north in the area near the border with the north" and "it is necessary to educate and train them into standard-bearers capable of leading the north to reforms and opening in the future" and "to this end the U.S. should sponsor a multilateral meeting aimed to build the above-said settlements." Earlier, the group also sent the head of the puppet planning team for peace and diplomacy to the United States to solicit its American master cooperation in the efforts to settle the "human rights issue in the north", "the issue of defectors from the north" and the "issue of the detained staff member of Hyundai Asan." The recent anti-DPRK human rights campaign being recklessly kicked up by the group in league with foreign forces is one more vicious anti-DPRK conspiratorial charade prompted by a sinister intention to internationalize the fictitious "human rights issue in the north" in a bid to impair the daily rising dignity and prestige of the DPRK, justify the group's moves to escalate the confrontation with it and dampen the desire of south Koreans for alliance and brotherhood with the north, the statement said, and went on: It is the Lee group that has turned south Korea into the world's worst tundra of human rights by wantonly trampling down upon people's dignity, independent rights and elementary right to existence. It is, therefore, shameless and ridiculous for it to talk about someone's "human rights". As the group is going so reckless to escalate the confrontation with the DPRK, daring hurt its dignity and system, it is left with no option but to settle accounts with it by meting out a stern and merciless punishment to it. |
