The statement charged that the police and prosecution authorities are getting hell-bent on the suppression of the people who have staged again the candlelight action against the Lee regime's unpopular rule.

It is a foolish daydream to regard fascist dictatorship as means for maintaining the power, the statement said, adding that the Lee regime's frantic suppression would arouse stronger resistance.

It called upon all the people to turn out in the struggle to overthrow the murderous Lee regime oppressing and strangling the popular masses.

The solidarity also made public a statement condemning the puppet authorities' crackdown upon the legitimate academic activities of university students.
