Minju Joson Tuesday observes in a signed commentary in this regard:

The projected joint military maneuvers are dangerous military moves to put their scenario for the second Korean war into practice as they are aimed to deteriorate the situation and create conditions and environment for mounting a preemptive attack on the DPRK.

It is the invariable scenario of the U.S. imperialist war-thirsty forces for invading the DPRK to start a new war at any cost on the Korean Peninsula and settle the Korean issue by force, the commentary says, and goes on:

Having already mapped out a detailed military operation plan to stifle the DPRK, the U.S. is watching for a chance to put it into practice.

Under the grave situation where the U.S. and the south Korean puppets are very keen to stifle the DPRK by force of arms at any cost, talking about "emergency situation" the DPRK cannot remain a passive onlooker to it.

It is the DPRK's revolutionary principle governing the struggle against enemies to cope with their hard-line policy with the toughest policy.

Should the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppets dare provoke the war, the army and people of the DPRK will give fullest play to all military potentials to mercilessly wipe out the enemies and successfully accomplish the historic cause of national reunification.

They would be well advised to behave themselves, facing up to the firm will of the DPRK.
