Minju Joson Wednesday in a signed commentary denounces this as a move to achieve their sinister political aim under the pretext of someone's "threat."

It goes on:

The Japanese reactionaries have long pursued their ambitious policy of nuclear development to go nuclear. As a result, Japan has not only fully acquired the method of making nukes but laid all the material and technological foundations for the manufacture of nuclear weapons.

They have stepped up such moves in a bid to realize their militarist ambition for overseas aggression both in name and reality. Japan's present call for "having access to nukes" is aimed to achieve the same objective.

To this end they are making desperate efforts to retrogressively revise at any cost Article 9 of the "Pacifist Constitution" which binds them hand and foot and leaving no stone unturned to make Japan a warring state.

Japan's scenario to go nuclear and exercise the "right to collective self-defense" will not escape the international community's strong protest and denunciation as it is a criminal act of gravely threatening global peace and security.

For Japan to exercise the "right to collective self-defense" with nuclear weapons is as foolish an act as jumping into fire with fagot on its back.

The Japanese reactionaries had better stop at once their reckless act of throwing the destiny of the country and its people into an abyss of destruction.
