Pyongyang, May 14 (KCNA) -- The DPRK has developed a technology of disinfecting drinking water with West Sea water. Korea sea-bound on three sides has physiographical conditions favorable to make use of sea water. The Pyongyang City Water Supply and Drainage System Management Bureau decided to use West Sea water instead of brine needed for the production of drinking water to cope with the ever-growing demand for salt. Basing itself on a sufficient scientific and technological analysis including the measurement of sea water salt percentage, the bureau concluded that drinking water could be sterilized with sea water. It is now engaged in the work of drawing West Sea water to Pyongyang. |
