Pyongyang, May 15 (KCNA) -- The 35th National School Children's Sports Contest for Jongilbong Prize opened with due ceremony at the Hamhung Stadium on May 14.
The contest brought together at least 1,500 school children selected in various provinces. The participants in the contest divided into the group of secondary schools and the group of primary schools will compete in more than 10 events including football, basketball, table tennis, Taekwon-Do, Korean wrestling and rhythmic gymnastics.
The opening ceremony was followed by a football match between players of Pyongyang City and the South Hamgyong Provincial teams.
