Present at the meeting were members of its Central Committee and chairmen of its branches. The DPRK ambassador to Poland and staff members of his embassy were present there on invitation.

The meeting discussed the association's working plan for this year, the issue of inaugurating a new branch and the issue of conducting widespread activities for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people working fresh miracles and innovations to open the gate to a great prosperous and powerful nation in 2012 without fail.

Speakers at the meeting praised the Korean people for having achieved eye-opening successes in building an economic power under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il. Some time ago, the Korean people successfully launched satellite Kwangmyongsong-2 by their own efforts and with their own technology, they noted, adding that this is a demonstration of a high level of science and technology of Songun Korea and its courage and pluck to attain the gigantic goal of a great prosperous and powerful nation without fail by frustrating the anti-DPRK moves of the hostile forces.

Pointing to the fact that the peace and security of the Korean Peninsula are firmly defended and guaranteed thanks to the strong war deterrent based on the capability for self-defence, they wished the Korean people greater successes in their efforts to build a socialist thriving nation and achieve the cause of national reunification.
