In another development, warmongers of the puppet military reinforced armed forces including warships in the waters along and near the illegal "Northern Limit Line" in the West Sea and formed "a unit on alert to go into action in a half hour" and deployed it on Yonphyong Islet, crying out for defending the line. They also staged a secret special warfare exercise by use of military planes.

On May 13 and 14 they staged a south Korea-U.S. "combined exercise for surprise air assault," kicking up war atmosphere.

A spokesman for the National Peace Committee of Korea in a statement issued Saturday said:

The anti-DPRK war cry again made by the warmongers of the puppet military and a reckless racket for a war kicked up by them are extremely dangerous military provocations prompted by its criminal design to launch a war of aggression against the north at any cost.

The reality goes to clearly prove that the Lee group is one of heinous war maniacs and anti-reunification traitors who seek to inflict the holocaust of a war on fellow countrymen, denying national unity, reunification and peace.

The group will get nothing but shameful ruin and death if it makes desperate efforts to escalate the confrontation with fellow countrymen and ignite a war of aggression against the DPRK quite contrary to the desire of the Koreans for peace and reunification of the country.

The Lee group had better stop its rash acts, clearly understanding what a miserable end those who disregard the desire of the times and the nation met.
