Pyongyang, May 16 (KCNA) -- All the cooperative farms, except those in the northern highlands, are transplanting rice seedlings in earnest after Wonhwa Co-op Farm in Phyongwon County, South Phyongan Province kicked it off on May 10. The farms have cultivated healthy rice seedlings, overcoming unfavorable conditions from the beginning of the year and are carrying on organizational and political work in a minute way to wind up the rice-transplantation in right time and in a qualitative way as required by the Juche method of farming. They have rationally distributed manpower and mechanical means and are keeping tilling and harrowing of paddy fields ahead of rice-transplantation, thus registering signal successes from the outset. Those in South Hwanghae Province have worked out detailed plans according to date and plot and already transplanted rice seedlings in thousands of hectares of fields by concentrating efforts on it. Similar successes have been reported from co-op farms in North and South Phyongan and North Hwanghae Provinces, too. The co-op farms on the east coast start rice-transplantation, taking rice seedling and weather conditions into consideration. The officials and working people in the agricultural field and helpers across the country are working hard with a revolutionary enthusiasm to bring about a decisive turn in the grain production this year. |
