Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes this in a signed article.

It goes on:

The NSL is the most reactionary law as it tramples down the sovereignty and dignity of the south Korean people and their freedom and rights and blocks the reconciliation and unity between the north and the south and national reunification.

The history of the NSL is a history of bloodshed as it has put down the righteous struggle of the south Korean people for independence, democracy and reunification, a crime-woven history as it has zealously backed the colonial fascist rule and a history of treachery as it helped build high the barrier of division while escalating confrontation with fellow countrymen.

In fact, south Korea has turned into the worst land ridden with fascist rampage and a tundra of human rights in the world where the people's elementary democratic freedom and rights are mercilessly violated due to the NSL.

The organizations and patriotic people calling for dialogue, cooperation between the north and the south and national reunification are being indiscriminately punished and trials and difficulties are lying in the way of the movement for national reunification due to this evil law rejecting the dialogue partner and denying the north-south dialogue itself.

The anachronistic NSL should be abolished without delay as it blocks the independent and democratic development of the south Korean society and gravely challenges the cause of national reunification.

If the Lee Myung Bak group persistently seeks to stay in power and escalates confrontation with fellow countrymen on the strength of the fascist law quite contrary to the call of the times for the abolition of the NSL, it will stand more bitterly cursed and denounced by all the Koreans and find itself in the dumping ground of history in the end along with the fascist law.
