Pyongyang, May 20 (KCNA) -- The Youth and Students Solidarity for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration in south Korea issued a statement on May 16, contending that the Lee Myung Bak dictatorial regime should be forced to step down so as to get the payment for the blood shed by those involved in the May 18 Kwangju uprising. The statement said that the present situation prevailing in south Korea due to the Lee Myung Bak murderous and dictatorial regime is reminiscent of the situation of Kwangju 29 years ago. The present regime is unhesitatingly and sinisterly attempting to quell the May 18 resistance spirit by pulling down the former South Jolla Provincial Office associated with the soul of the Kwangju uprisers, it charged. Any dictator engaged in suppression, exploitation and murder of the people is bound to face their strong resistance, the statement said, calling upon all the people to turn out in the struggle for forcing the Lee Myung Bak dictatorial regime to step down by inheriting the spirit of the Kwangju uprisers. The statement stressed that death-defying struggle should be waged to force the murderous and dictatorial regime to step down and get the payment for the blood shed by the martyrs. |
