Rodong Sinmun Saturday observes in a signed article carried in this regard:

The Japanese reactionaries were so shameless as to deny and falsify all those stark facts about the crimes committed by Japan by invading Korea in the past though they are well known to the world and proved by history and describe them in the textbooks. This is an intolerable insult to the dignity of the Korean nation and its glorious history.

Such fraudulent practices of deliberately distorting or deleting historical facts and incidents have been systematically and openly perpetrated in Japan at the tacit connivance of the government and under its protection to serve its sinister political purposes.

The theory of "Japan's government agency of Imna" mentioned in the above-said history textbooks is no more than a fictitious and hypocritical quasi reactionary theory expounded by Japan for the purpose of justifying its moves to dominate Korea late in the 19th century.

This theory was, to all intents and purposes, a product of Japan's plot to realize its aggression and domination over Korea.

What merits more serious attention is that the above-said crime was committed not on the basis of the viewpoint and stand of an individual person or an organization but under the undisguised backing and premeditated manipulation of the Japanese authorities.

The increased efforts on the part of the Japanese reactionaries to embellish their crime-woven history and deliberately tamper with Korea's long history and falsify facts would only add to the crimes committed by Japan against the Korean people as their sworn enemy.

The Korean people will never pardon Japan which has committed so hideous crimes by infringing upon their dignity and sovereignty and hurting their national self-respect.
