Pyongyang, May 29 (KCNA) -- DPRK weightlifters carried off five gold, four silver and two bronze medals at the 1st World Juvenile Weightlifting Championships held in Thailand from May 20 to 24.
Kim Kuk Hyang lifted 221kg total with 96kg in snatch and 125kg in jerk. She thus came first in the women's above 69kg category competition and garnered three gold medals.
Meanwhile, Kim Hyo Sim took the second of the women's 53kg category in the total points by placing first in snatch and third in jerk and Ryo Un Hui the first in women's 63kg snatch. And Rim Jong Sim captured three silver medals in the women's 58kg and Yun Han Min one bronze medal in the men's 50kg.
