Pyongyang, June 1 (KCNA) -- The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea made public a joint statement on May 26 in support of the second successful nuclear test conducted by the DPRK.
The statement said that the recent successful nuclear test is the shining fruition of the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il and a great victory of the DPRK.
To respect the opinion of the international community does not mean that a sovereign state should sacrifice its supreme interests, it said, and went on: The DPRK conducted the nuclear test to bolster up its defence capability in every way and more firmly defend the socialist system centered on the popular masses and the sovereignty of the country, making a great contribution to the reunification of the Korean Peninsula and the global peace and security.
Bitterly denouncing the U.S. imperialists and their followers for all their moves critical of the DPRK's nuclear test, the statement called on the world progressives to fully support the just cause of the Korean people standing against the U.S. imperialists' threat, pressure and intervention aimed at stifling the socialist system.
