Pyongyang, June 2 (KCNA) -- The leader of the DPRK continues forced march full of patriotic devotion not for his personal comfort and the happiness of his family but for the prosperity of the motherland and all blessings of the people. It was when General Secretary Kim Jong Il visited mines in Komdok area in South Hamgyong Province some days ago. He personally entered a pit of the Ryongyang Mine to acquaint himself with the work of putting the cutting on large-sized and modern basis and set forth the tasks to be carried out by the mine. He has visited dozens of units to rouse the people to a leap forward since he kindled the torch of a new great revolutionary upsurge in Kangson in December last. From the beginning of the year, he has given field-guidance to the Wonsan Youth Power Station in the eastern area, the Taean Heavy Machine Complex and the Kum Song Tractor Plant in the western area and various units of Pyongyang. Making a round of the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex, he learned that its modernization depended upon an oxygen plant and said that he had to call at the Rakwon Machine Complex again. And he directly headed for Rakwon on the west coast about 400 kilometers away from the fertilizer complex. The visit to Rakwon was followed by the 800km-long journey of field guidance to the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex, the Ranam Coal Mining Machine Complex and the Musan Ore Mining Complex on the east coast where he set a timetable for creation of innovations. In those days he found himself on the way of field guidance without dropping in his home even a day. His unprecedented forced march was followed by visits to Manpho, a border town in Jagang Province, the area at the foot of Mt. Paektu, Songrim, Tokchon, Jaeryong, Huichon, Anju, Kusong and other parts of the country. He went on his march day and night by train and field jeep, covering high passes, steep mountain ridges and earth and icy roads. His forced march full of patriotic devotion is bringing about signal successes and creation of new norms and new records in all sectors of the national economy in the DPRK. |
