Chonghyoldan, Health Food

Pyongyang, June 4 (KCNA) -- The Institute of Microbiology under the State Academy of Sciences has made Chonghyoldan, a blood purifying capsule. It is a health food made from rare medicinal mushroom which has widely been used in the treatment of hypertension and arteriosclerosis of senescent persons from ancient time. The capsule contains essential amino acids and vitamins B, PP and C, especially a large amount of vitamin B6 efficacious for the prevention of arteriosclerosis and thrombus. It also contains calcium, magnesium and other minerals. Its potassium content is 30 times that of pumpkin. Its application to several hundred patients of hypertension, cerebro-arterial sclerosis, thrombosis and transient ischemic attack (TIA) for a month in recent years (two capsules in each dose two or three times a day) resulted in the removal of headache, dizziness, memory disorder, speech disorder and quadriplegia. The rate of cure was around 90 percent. |
