The appeal recalled that the Lee Myung Bak dictatorial regime has frantically pursued confrontation with the DPRK since it came to power, totally denying the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, adding that, not content with this, it officially announced south Korea's full participation in the PSI under the pretext of the north's underground nuclear test recently.

The underground nuclear test conducted by the north was a measure for self-defense to cope with the persistent hostile acts the U.S. and its followers have perpetrated, taking issue with its satellite launch, the appeal noted.

It called upon all the compatriots to unite close and turn out in the struggle to foil the warmongers' war moves.

The appeal went on:

Let us wage a decisive struggle by fully displaying the spirit of "By our nation itself" and frustrate the U.S. imperialists' war moves, drive the U.S. forces out of south Korea and achieve the independent reunification.

Let us thoroughly foil Japan's desperate bid to stage a comeback to Korea, while working hard to create a crisis on the Korean Peninsula and go without making apology and reparation for its crimes.

Let us get the people's life stabilized and win back the civic rights by forcing Lee Myung Bak to step down and having the "Grand National Party" disbanded and implement the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration to achieve peace and prosperity.

The South Headquarters of Pomminryon will join the seventy million Koreans in their positive struggle to foil the war moves of the U.S., Japan and the Lee dictatorial regime and achieve the independent reunification.
