The deputy secretary general of the People's Party of the Reconstruction and the Democracy of Democratic Congo who is member of the parliament was elected honorary chairman of the preparatory committee and Otete Gaston Mboyo, chairman of the National Committee of the Genuine Lumumbist Patriotic Party of Democratic Congo, elected chairman of the committee at its inaugural ceremony.

Otete Gaston Mboyo said in his speech made at the ceremony that the people of Democratic Congo would join the world progressive people in extensively holding political and cultural events to commemorate the centenary of birth of Kim Il Sung and waging widespread movements supporting the just cause of the Korean people.

The ceremony discussed an action program ending in 2012.
