Pyongyang, June 6 (KCNA) -- Senior party and state officials and leading officials of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Cabinet, ministries, national institutions and Kangwon Province and Wonsan City on Saturday visited the Kalma Theatre and enjoyed a performance given by members of art groups of families of servicemen.
The visitors went to the Kalma Theatre newly built at the Kalma Rest Home of the Korean People's Army.
They was briefed on the fact that General Secretary Kim Jong Il saw to it that the theatre was built as a monumental edifice of the era.
Then they enjoyed a performance given by the members of art groups of families of servicemen who participated in the second round of the second-term contest among art groups of families of KPA servicemen.
In poem and story-telling "Footsteps of Sun-like Generals of Mt. Paektu," poem and song "Song of Noble Patriotism," quartet "Cuckoo on the Road to the Front," sketch "Wife of Serviceperson on Outpost" and other numbers, the performers highly sang of the great efforts and undying feats of Kim Jong Il, who is ushering in the great heyday of national prosperity, demonstrating the strength of socialist Korea with his outstanding Songun revolutionary leadership, and well represented the intense loyalty and ardent reverence of servicepersons' families for the great illustrious commander of Mt. Paektu.
