Pyongyang, June 7 (KCNA) -- Kamal Hyder, secretary general of the Bangladesh Peace Council, issued a statement titled "It Is a Way of Ensuring Peace and Security on the Korean Peninsula to Implement the June 15 Joint Declaration" on June 1 on the occasion of the 9th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.
The statement said that the June 15 joint declaration is a great programme for reunification of Korea as it indicates main principles and ways for achieving national reconciliation, unity and reunification.
This year the DPRK called for reenergizing the national reunification movement under the slogan "Advance dynamically along the road of independent reunification under the banner of the June 15 Joint Declaration and the October 4 Declaration," the statement noted.
The statement expressed hope that the Korean nation would surely achieve the independent and peaceful reunification under the banner of the June 15 Joint Declaration.
