Leon Nzokene, general secretary of the Congolese Socialist Party, and Louis Andregoma, chairman of the Congolese National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, were elected co-chairmen of the preparatory committee.

The preparatory committee decided to widely introduce through media the immortal exploits of Kim Il Sung who founded the Juche idea and devoted his all to the human cause of independence and hold colorful events including seminar, lecture and meeting.
