Pyongyang, June 8 (KCNA) -- The Civic and Public Joint Measure Committee against the Suppression of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification in south Korea called a press conference on June 5, urging the puppet authorities to halt their repression of the South Headquarters of Pomminryon (Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification).
A press release, read out at the conference, pointed out that the authorities' crackdown on the headquarters, which has conducted legitimate and patriotic activities for peace and reunification, reveals that they have no willingness for inter-Korean dialogue, cooperation, reconciliation and unity.
The gravity of the said suppression lies in that the security authorities are putting violent oppression in an arbitrary manner upon the reunification movement as a whole by dint of the "National Security Law", it said.
It branded the NSL as an evil law which turns aside the spirit of the times and blatantly goes against the entire nation's desire and demand for reunification.
It urged the authorities to set free at once the detained members of the headquarters.
