The statement accused Western media of conducting a dastardly smear campaign against the DPRK, finding fault with the principled stand of the Korean revolutionary armed forces which stated they would consider south Korea's full participation in the PSI as a declaration of a war against the DPRK.

The present regime in south Korea not only totally negated the successes achieved in the inter-Korean relations in the past but unhesitatingly decided to fully participate in the PSI, meeting the demand of the U.S., thus depriving the Korean Armistice Agreement of its binding force.

The DPRK was right when it strongly reacted to south Korea's decision, the statement noted, urging Western media to stop the above-said campaign at once.
