Unjong Tea, Health Beverage

Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- The South Hwanghae Provincial Branch of the Academy of Agricultural Science has succeeded in cultivating tea plants which had been regarded as impossible to cultivate in the country owing to the local physiographical conditions. They made green tea good for the health of people with leaves of tea plants.

General Secretary Kim Jong Il named it "Unjong Tea".

The tea contains alkaloids, various essential amino acids, vitamins including C and E which have pharmacological action.

It makes head clear and prevents such diseases as arteriosclerosis, hypertension, cardiomegaly, etc. It is also good for recovery from fatigue, urination, detoxification and prevention of cancer and aging.

The tea, which is neither strong nor weak, is good for protection of health and strong tea for treatment.

Unjong Tea is conductive to the promotion of health.
