They declared many people have lost their lives and common people have been put on the verge of death in a little over one year of Lee Myung Bak's office.

They asserted that now is the time for the students to pool their efforts once again as they always took the lead in the actions in response to the call of history and the era.

Noting that the people should make a history holding candlelight again by inheriting the spirit of the June 1987 resistance, they called upon all of them to turn out in the second resistance to judge the Lee dictatorial regime.

They strongly urged Lee Myung Bak to make an apology and demanded the authorities put an end to their strong-arm rule and stop the moves to enact "Lee Myung Bak evil laws", etc.

In another development, Ri Jong Hui, member of the "National Assembly" from the Democratic Labor Party, has been on a hunger strike inside its building for the five consecutive days in demand of the "wholesale resignation of the Cabinet", "a fundamental switchover in the basis of the state administration," "guarantee of the workers' right to existence" and others.
