Rodong Sinmun Thursday says this in a signed article dedicated to the 22nd anniversary of the June Popular Resistance.

It goes on:

The popular resistance in which the people from all walks of life fought against the outsiders' domination and interference to put an end to the dark age of military dictatorship and reunify the country was a just struggle that brilliantly adorned the history of anti-U.S. and anti-fascism struggle of the south Korean people.

It dealt a severe blow to the military fascist dictatorship, shaking the U.S. colonial rule to its very foundation. The resistance proved that the united strength of the popular masses is inexhaustible and their demand is sure to be realized when all the patriotic democratic forces in south Korea desirous of independence, democracy and reunification struggle against the dictatorial forces, united close for one purpose.

The independent and democratic development of the south Korean society is seriously curbed and the movement for national reunification is facing a severe trial due to traitor Lee Myung Bak who seized power with the signboard of "pragmatism."

The grudge and resentment of the people to the "government veiled with word of pragmatism" is mounting high in south Korea and the strong anti-Lee Myung Bak spirit of the people of all strata reminds one of the eve of the June Popular Resistance.

The south Korean people should not slacken at the least the present high spirit for struggle but wage another dynamic resistance to throw overboard the group of traitors who persist in dictatorship and suppression in disregard of the people's mindset.
