Pyongyang, June 12 (KCNA) -- Eight student organizations and the general student councils of 23 universities in south Korea, including the Federation of University Students in the 21st Century called a press conference in Seoul on Tuesday, proposing to form an organization for joint action of university students demanding the resignation of traitor Lee Myung Bak.
They noted that many university professors are now conducting the campaign for announcing declarations on the situation to achieve democracy, as in the days of the June resistance in 1987, and people from all walks of life are turning out in such vigorous actions as vowing the second June resistance.
University students have always stood in the van of the struggle remolding society, they said, calling upon the students to fully display their youthful stamina in the struggle for forcing the treacherous "government" to resign.
They expressed their resolution to wage a more vigorous struggle by organizing an "action solidarity of university students for resignation of Lee Myung Bak and restoration of democracy."
