A report delivered by Kang Chang Uk, chairman of the Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea, was followed by speeches.

The reporter and the speakers said that his start of work at the Central Committee of the WPK on June 19, Juche 53 (1964) marked a noteworthy event as it carved out a bright future of the work to accomplish the Juche revolutionary cause.

They referred to the fact that while defending and carrying forward the idea and exploits of President Kim Il Sung in party-building, Kim Jong Il has built the WPK into a powerful staff steering the Songun revolutionary cause and a mother party serving the people and consolidated the single-minded unity of the leader, the party, the army and the people based on the Songun idea as firm as a rock.

They stressed that Kim Jong Il formulated the Songun politics as a main political mode under socialism and has wisely led the WPK, training the People's Army as a powerful revolutionary army of Mt. Paektu and building the powerful capacity for self-defence.

They vowed to significantly increase the agricultural production and, at the same time, turn the farm villages into a socialist land of bliss in the Songun era.

A poem "We will further glorify the immortal cause of the leader through the increased production of rice" was recited at the meeting.
