Pyongyang, June 14 (KCNA) -- The Academic Headquarters and the Media Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration held an academic seminar in Seoul on June 11 on the occasion of the 9th anniversary of the publication of the joint declaration at which they demanded the puppet authorities sincerely implement the inter-Korean declarations.
Speakers accused the Lee Myung Bak "government" of bringing to naught overnight all the achievements made after the publication of the June 15 joint declaration and allowed the U.S. to make a mockery of the destiny of the nation, declaring that it is an essential task for national reunification to put an end to the submission to the U.S. and its subjugation and get the "National Security Law" abolished.
They chided the conservative media, the trumpeters on the payroll of the Lee "government," for creating uneasiness by opening "information about the north" to the public in a bid to drive the situation on the Korean Peninsula into the military tension and openly releasing reports aimed at propagandizing that "the U.S. is absolutely right".
A joint statement of the two organizations was read out at the seminar. It urged the Lee "government" to respect the spirit of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and sincerely implement them.
