Pyongyang, June 15 (KCNA) -- A seminar and a lecture took place in Egypt and Democratic Congo and a meeting, book exhibition and film show in India from June 4 to 7 on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
On display in the venues of the events were Kim Jong Il's works, photos showing his Songun leadership exploits and books and photos introducing the DPRK.
Yehia Zakaria Khairullah, chairman of the Egyptian Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, at a seminar on the work of Kim Jong Il "Giving Priority to Ideological Work Is Essential for Accomplishing Socialism" noted that in the work he comprehensively clarified the need to give priority to the ideological work and its essence, main tasks and contents, principles and ways and other issues and proved the truth of history that socialism is sure to triumph if it holds fast to ideology and socialism is bound to go ruin if ideology is neglected under it.
Kanga Ngerien Jerom, chairman of the Group for the Study of Kim Jong Il Juche Idea of Democratic Congo, in his lecture said that the nearly half a century long-history of Kim Jong Il's leadership over the WPK is a period that showed the personality of a genuine popular statesman.
The participants of the film show watched DPRK CD "Extravaganza 'Arirang'."
